About Me


Emily F. Winerock is a doctoral student in history at the University of Toronto. She studies the historical context of dancing in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century England and Europe. Her dissertation, entitled "Reformation and Revelry: The Politics and Practices of Dancing in Early Modern England," is listed in the PhdData.org database.

Emily's Ph.D. from Toronto in Canada will be her third degree from a third country as her M.A. in Early Modern History is from the University of Sussex in England and her B.A. is in English from Princeton University in the United States.
