History:

TorontoCoranto Renaissance Dance Ensemble was a dance performance group founded by dance historian Emily Winerock while she was a graduate student at the University of Toronto. The group specialized in European dances of the fifteenth, sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. From 2005-2010, TorontoCoronto offered demonstrations, lectures, workshops, and performances in historical costume accompanied by live music from local early music groups such as Moresca and Musicians in Ordinary.
